New Products Enjoyed

Body Soap Bar

Today I got to use the body soap bar on my little one and I actually think I prefer it to the shower gel when it comes to washing a child.  The lather made it easier to just use our hands to wash and Siena was excited to use it to wash herself.

Body Butter

After using the body soap we then lathered on the body butter.  Siena's dry skin just sucked up the butter and I think just like my skin it was much happier.

I love the new products and think you will too.

Here's to keeping it simple!

Over the years I'm sure that, like most people, I have always chosen lofty resolutions that I'm able to find success for perhaps a few months, maybe a few weeks and sometimes only for a few days.  This year I'm keeping it simple.  The thought is that simple changes may not always show big results in a quick amount of time but they may eventually make big changes that last longer.

1.  Drink more water

2.  Try to eat less meat and more fruit and veggies  (note: I'm not giving anything up)

If you too have made a resolution this year to be healthier let me encourage you to also keep it simple.  Don't give up something, just make small changes by substituting one thing for another.

Why not start with getting the toxins out of your personal care products?

Did you know?

"According to the FDA, a cosmetic is anything used for "cleansing, beautifying, promoting attractiveness or altering the appearance." An average U.S. consumer uses about 10 cosmetic products every day, including makeup, soap, shampoo, lotion, hair gel and cologne, says Lisa Archer, the national coordinator for The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics (CSC), a nonprofit advocacy group based in San Francisco and financed in part by the Breast CancerFund, a nonprofit organization. As a result, she says, people are exposed to roughly 126 different chemicals daily, many of which haven't been thoroughly tested."

"adolescent girls typically experiment with an increasing number and variety of body care products. Teen study participants used an average of nearly 17 personal care products each day, while the average adult woman uses just 12 products daily. Thus, teens may unknowingly expose themselves to higher levels of cosmetic ingredients linked to potential health effects at a time when their bodies are more susceptible to chemical damage."
